Welcome to Ironcutter Media, a media production and publishing solutions company based in Washington, D.C. (Please pardon our dust as this site is re-designed. We will unveil our new site in 2014.)
Ironcutter Media was started in 2004 by Alivia Tagliaferri, an author and documentary filmmaker, with the vision of creating a platform for artists who are passionate about telling stories that connect us all.
Since then, we’ve published seven titles and produced two documentaries.
Today, the company is a boutique media house that specializes in producing and publishing projects that highlight important social issues.
We are still close to our roots.
This year, Ironcutter Media is producing a feature documentary about suicide and suicide prevention in America.
Titled Power of One: Suicide Prevention in America, this two-hour feature documentary special about suicide and suicide prevention reflects the profound power each person has to forever change the lives of those around them – we feel the loss of one, we also know the difference one person can make to prevent suicide.
Learn more about this project on our Power of One page.
We started 2013 on the stage, followed by some thunder. In May, George Washington University hosted a stage reading of Beyond the Wall, the stage adaptation of Alivia’s novel, co-written with two Iraq War Veterans and retired U.S. Marines, Jack Eubanks and Alexandre Buffington. And Memorial Day Weekend, Alivia had the honor of participating in Rolling Thunder XXVI to sign donated books for veterans and ride with Virginia Chapter 3.
Welcoming home our veterans is something very close to us. And we will continue to find ways to serve as civilians of our community and citizens of our country.
